Who are we?
We are a happily married couple (a rarity? well maybe) since just about the beginning of recorded history. I've been fortunate throughout my life to always work in the art field. I've done everything from art festivals, wall murals, chalk art for Disney MGM studios, and children's book illustrations to being a full time oil landscape painter with a POD design problem.
John has always acted as my support team while working hard at his legit career to make sure our family was properly housed, clothed, and fed. Recently retired he has taken lead in organizing and promoting our online stores.
For fun we spend time with family and friends and travel as much as we can.

What is Vida?
According to the Wall Street Journal -VIDA connects artists with craftspeople and manufacturers to source and design products. The company launches with a selection of scarves and tops with designs from global designers. The use of direct-to-fabric digital printing enables VIDA to produce one-of-a-kind items at scale.

Vida uses a direct-to-fabric printing process to give artists quick control over manufacturing, as well as letting production scale easily to demand. In fact, it only produces items after they’ve been sold. But VIDA is trying to do more than simply cater to fashion enthusiasts – it’s bringing real-world benefits to the people working on its products. In an interview, CEO Umaimah Mendhro emphasized how this goes beyond monetary compensation; scarf-makers in Karachi, Pakistan, for instance, earn literacy classes for every 15 scarves produced. You’re even able to see how many workers will receive classes based on your purchases.
It’s an interesting take on manufacturing in a digital age, made better by being socially conscious. Though the sales aren’t live yet, it’s worth keeping an eye out if you’re in the market for some new scarves.
